Trying to make my first stock buy after several months of watching MSNBC daily. tried to buy some Citi group friday and my broker would not let me. It was selling for 3.50 and today at 6.30 . I wanted to invest 3,500

I do not know why a broker would refuse your Citi trade, but you should ask him – and complain to his manager.

27.5K@13.35 means that 27,500 shares traded at $13.35.

The figures you give for Intel (INTC) are 27.5k and 13.35. These figures describe a single trade between a buyer and a seller. the dollar amount was 27,500 shares in exchange for $13.35 of each share. The total transaction amount was (27,500 X 13.35 =) $367,125.
