Stock and mutual fund quote page layout change?

For years I’ve been using Excel web queries to automatically import Last Close
and Last Close Date from html tables in Yahoo finance web pages that give
stock and mutual fund quote data.

Recently the layout of the stock and mutual fund quote pages has changed to
no longer provide Last Close and Last Close Date in html table format.

Was the page layout change done to facilitate use by another tool, service or
web-Service? Does Yahoo sell or plan to sell a product such as a custom dll
or web-Service to parse the new layout?

Slap it and try again.

How can I get a single stock quote on a website, like they do on corporate investor sections, without ads?

I want to add a single stock quote on a website. All I see are links to free embed codes but they all show ads. I dont mind paying, but I want it looking professional. Anyone know who handles this service or an alternative? Preferably free, but pay-fee is not that much of an issue either.

You can use strike-iron services if you want a stock quote on your site but it costs you. you can have a yahoo widget but that have ads.

Both end of day and intraday. And why the two are inconsistent?

When I try to read comments for GMO stock listings I get a message that the comments are blocked by my profanity level filter. How do I change this filter level

I want to have live stock quotes streaming full screen on a monitor (like monitors you see in Wall Street 2 haha).

I am looking to add a stock picking section to my website http://www.pickmonitor.com but I have yet to find a reliable feed that allows me to get data for all the stocks from the major exchanges.

Does anyone know of such a feed? It doesn’t have to be free.

You might want to stay away from that if it is like your sportsbetting. The SEC would not take kindly to people paying for others stocks picks. They could shut down your site.

You can do it for free, but you would have to add a lot of legal stuff there for your and the people making the picks protection.

I do not know the answer to your question, but I thought you should know this.
I do enjoy pockmonitor and would hate to see it shut down.
How else would I get a laugh at Sammys picks!
